Who can enter?

Building control surveyors, builders, architects, designers and anyone else involved in a construction project completed between 1 Jan and 31 Dec 2020 where building control was provided by a local authority.

Which region should I enter?

To find out the local authority and LABC region your project is in, use this postcode search. For site-based categories the address will be the location of the project, and for the rest, the local authority you have a relationship with.

Deadline

The deadline date for all entries is Friday 2 July.

What happens? 

People Awards: Regional judging will take place and all regional winners in the Place Awards will be shortlisted and invited to attend the Place National Awards in January 2022.

Place Awards: Regional judging will take place selecting the two entries per category to be shortlisted and invited to attend the People National Awards in February 2022.

IMPORTANT

1. Submittable only saves one draft per category. Therefore we recommend collating your information before you start filling in the form if you have more than one submission to make.

Who can enter?: Building control surveyors on behalf of clients and self-nominations by individuals / organisations that have a relationship with their local authority building control team. 


Eligibility:

  • Individuals/organisations who regularly work with their local authority building control team. 
  • Please refer to projects that were completed between 1 January and 31 December 2020.

Who can enter?: Anyone working in a local authority building control team can nominate their peers or it can be a self nomination by the LABC Newcomer.


Eligibility:

  • The LABC Newcomer must work for a local authority building control team 
  • The LABC Newcomer must have joined a local authority building control team in the last three years

Eligibility:

  • To enter this category the partnership must be in an official partnership with LABC as part of our Partner Authority Scheme.
  • Refer to projects that were completed between 1 January and 31 December 2020.

Who can enter?: Building control surveyors, builders, architects, designers and anyone else involved in a construction project can submit an entry into the relevant region.


What projects are eligible?:

  • Projects where building control work was carried out by a local authority building control team (not by an approved inspector).
  • Projects that were completed between 1 January and 31 December 2020.

NB1: Each project can only be entered into one category.

NB2: You can only work on one entry form at a time. If you wish to enter more than one entry you need to complete and submit one before starting the next.
